I was thinking about Rohan one day, as I all too often do. And about the correspondence that Tolkien saw between the Rohirric culture and the Anglo-Saxon cultures, and the way Alan Lee depicted the Rohirrin sets as very Celtic styled. Then I came across something called the Aberlemno Stone, which showed 2 sea-horses intertwined, and reminded me awfully of Rohan. So this is based a little on the Aberlemno Stone, and is an attempt at creating some form of Rohirric design.

It certainly looks very Rohirric, even the colours look Rohirric. I'm not sure about their eyes, they look a little underdone... A little more celtic detail to the eyes and they would look... (oh noes! Here comes Carolin's favourite word!) lovely.

What a lovely comment *grins* This really needs more work, it was a quick scribble for something or other. You're right, the eyes could be much better!

Thankyou Celtic, or really Saxon, as the knot-work that produced these sort of zoomorphics was really Saxon, had very odd ways of doing eyes, and I think if you used one of those ways for these eyes, that would look really cool.
