Alcuin's marque - designs

Another set of marque ideas from Jacqueline Carey's "Kushiel" books. These are for Alcuin no Delaunay, who along with Phèdre, is Anafiel Delaunay's apprentice and pupil. He is much gentler than Phèdre, a courtesan only to please Delaunay, kind, loving, innocent. His marque is described in what seems like great detail (see the picture). It is like a birch tree, grey and charcoal in colour, with faint green tips to the leaves. The finial at the bottom is like water running.

I thought this one would be easier than Phèdre's, but it wasn't. The description is utterly impossible to work with accurately, so I've had to let my imagination run free a bit here. Any preferences? A bit from one and a bit from another? Ideas? Any comments more than gladly received!
